Keithley 8009 Resistivity Test Chamber

The Keithley 8009 Resistivity Chamber is a shielded test fixture designed for measuring surface resistivity and volume. It assures sound electrostatic shielding and comes with up to 1100V resistance. This model is designed for safe and reliable measurement operation with the 6517A and 6517B. On opening, the lid of the Keithley 8009 results in an automatic shutdown of the voltage source of the 6517A or 6517 B.

This model is designed to accommodate sheet samples from 2½ to 4 in (64 mm to 102 mm) in diameter and up to ^1⁄8 in (3.2 mm) thick. It maintains perfect sample contact with even pressure on smooth parallel shapes. The pressure it exerts ranges from 6 to 10 pounds depending on the thickness of the sheet. The Keithley 8009 comes with a front panel switch that can be toggled between surface resistivity and volume with the 6517A or 6517 B coupled. It can also be set up to calculate and display the right results automatically. On samples 0.1 cm thick, this model allows direct measurement of surface resistivity up to 10¹⁷Ω/square and volume resistivity up to 10¹⁸Ω-cm by the relevant ASTM procedures.

The Keithley 8009 is offered with interlocking cables for the 6517A and 6517B, a triaxial cable, safety ground wire, and a set of source cables.
